Massimo Robberto is Observatory Scientist at STScI and the Technical Lead for the JWST/NIRCam instrument onboard JWST. After starting his career in Turin, Italy, he joined in 1995 the Max-Planck-Institute for Astronomie in Heidelberg, Germany, before reaching Baltimore in 1999 to work first on the WFC3 camera of the Hubble Space Telescope and then on NIRCam. Massimo’s main research interests are in Star Formation; he is the Principal Investigator of two Hubble Treasury Programs dedicated to the Orion Nebula. He also likes to invent novel instrumentation both for ground and space-based telescopes.
