Ori is currently an Instrument Scientist on the JWST MIRI team. When not doing supernova science, his functional work focuses on optimizing the mid-infrared detectors for exoplanet transit observations. Ori received his PhD from the University of Virginia in 2010 and went on to postdocs at both NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the University of California, Berkeley. Ori has always found the benefit to intertwining instrumentation, science, and mission operations is the ability to obtain very intricate observations with the telescopes.
