Andrea Banzatti did his PhD in astronomy at the ETH in Zurich (Switzerland) and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at STScI in 2013-2016. Andrea works on protoplanetary disks and on processes linked to planet formation from an observational perspective, using a range of techniques: from millimeter interferometry of dust grain emission to infrared spectroscopy of water vapor and volatiles in the planet-formation region of disks. He was the curator of the STScI Science Blog between 2014 and 2016, together with Mario Livio and Amaya Moro-Martin.
